Nursing TMI - 3

So here it is Monday morning and I am on my own for the first time. So far, so good. Kenna is really an easy baby. She is content and fairly scheduled for a newborn. I called the lactation consultant about nipple shields. They are my last ditch effort for full time nursing. If that doesn't work, I will just pump as long as I can and continue what I've been doing until we stop. That girl just needs to open her mouth and things will go much more smoothly!! At least she is a happy child. It makes life so much nicer. Oh! And she slept SO good last night. Sometimes I worry that she's sleeping too good! She went to bed at 9pm, I only fed her once at 3am, and then again at 7:30am. She was awake for several hours and is now taking a nap. I feel so rested! Not every night can be like that, but it sure is nice to have at least an occasional decent night's rest! Hannah was a good sleeper early on so maybe Kenna will follow her example.
