Yard Plans

Josh and I have some major yard plans for the summer. Keeping ourselves busy since we have NOTHING else to do. :-)

We are going to remove this entire section of plants in the middle of the yard and replace it with lawn. When we first moved in it didn't look to bad - but they had a hired man coming in every week doing tons of yard work - and we don't have that. The yard was definitely not built to be low-maintenance. It's really hard to keep the weeds out of the pretty plants. And the pretty plants need regular work. So we're simplifying. Luckily, our landlords don't care what we do. I think it will make our yard look bigger. We started by taking out a huge bush in the middle of the yard (now in the yard waste disposal). Barry looked at it last time he was up and it wasn't fairing too well. I gave it another winter and spring to recover and it still looked pretty sickly - so it's OUT! Our front yard is in the middle of an overhaul as well. Fun stuff!
