I don't know if anyone ever notices our booklist over to the side. I don't post all the books that the girls read because there are JUST TOO MANY TO LIST. And since Josh is always working on so many books at one time I'm never sure if he ever finishes them. So the bulk of the books are ones that were read alouds to all the kids, or a scattering of the books that Josh and I have been working on. I was looking at the list just now and I realized that some of our all-time favorites are there (I've got the list limited to 25 for sanity's sake).
So if you have never read a book by Brandon Mull (Candy-Shop War and Fablehaven), or by Shannon Hale (Princess Academy) or Elizabeth Enright (Melendys and Thimble Summer) then you are missing out. (These are all great for my girls...not so much for Logan's age.)
Have you read the original Pooh books? Not the Disney ones!!!! Logan thought they were hilarious...but so did I on a completely different level.
If you love true stories that read like novels, you might try "Carry On, Mr. Bowditch". One of my personal all-time favorites.
And, well, I could go on about each of those books (except the ones that Josh read) and they've all been good. Happy Reading!!
