March

In like a lion.... and out on a bicycle?

I can't believe it's the last week in March!  Already!  It's going to be May before I know it.  Heck, it's going to be April 10th before I know it and I am SO not ready for that darn 5K.

So Josh and I have been discussing getting new bikes for Hannah and Logan.  They've both outgrown their current bike by quite a lot.  We had determined that would be their birthday gift.
Last week someone asked Josh if we wanted a bike and a wagon that got left in a house they just bought.  And Josh said sure.  We thought maybe we'd give the bike to Hannah.  It turned out to be just a tad too small for her - but fit Brynne perfectly.  Which was fine, because we were going to buy a bike for Hannah anyway.  But on Friday this same gentleman brought over another bike that had been left behind and it is PERFECT for Hannah.  So in a week we were able to get new bikes for both of our older girls.   Only Logan needs a bike, and we know exactly what we are getting him next time we go "over the hill".

Not only did the older girls get new bikes this week, but the little girls received a little scoot along car.  We had one, already, that they fought over all the time.  So this extra one will be a blessing to us for a year or two until they outgrow it.  They were also given a play kitchen - another thing that's been on my 'to buy' list for the little girls for the past six months.

And finally, that wagon turned out to be a red Radio Flyer wagon that's in mint condition!  I always wanted one of those when I was little.  I'm thinking I'll claim this one as mine.

Hannah's odyssey team has been hard at work lately.  The state competition is this Saturday.  What I've heard from other people who have gone, is that it is really nice to see the quality of the projects done by other teams around the state.  It should be a nice trip.  We have a good hotel, and a fun birthday activity planned for Brynne on Friday, and aunty Devon is here too!

One of the things I'm trying to get back into is meal planning.  I have gotten off the wagon and am having a hard time getting back on.   I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what I want to cook.  I want more veggies, less sugar, and I don't want to be all day cooking.    I need some ideas!

It's whale watching season here.  I don't know where those whales are.  We've gone out four or five times to look and have yet to see any this year.  We did spot a bunch of pregnant seal mamas!  These photos are from FHE a couple weeks ago.
