Saturday is a Special Day

I had a crazy 30 minutes last night.

The little girls were in the bath. I was cleaning the bathroom while I waited for them to be done playing. Suddenly, Kenna started panicking. I turned around and saw a little brown log rolling around in the tub.

???

Oh yes she did. And Natalie was trying to pick up this interesting looking toy.

I quickly hauled both girls out and stood them in the shower (thank goodness for the separate shower in that bathroom), pulled all the toys out and put them in the sink, and then showered off the girls while they screamed at me for trying to kill them with shampoo. I dried them off, and went to flush one square of toilet paper down the toilet (which looked like someone had urinated in but nothing else). Then, back to the girls to put their diapers on.

From behind me I could hear the toilet making a queer gurgling sounds. I looked around to see water pouring over the sides. Grrrrr. I jumped up, shoved the girls out of the bathroom, grabbed some stuff off the floor and threw the girls towels down around the toilet to keep water from running down the edges of the wall/floor space. Then I ran downstairs to get more towels. I came up to find Natty trying to walk around the wet bathroom. At this point I remembered to yell for Josh.

He came and got the girls and took care of them. I spent the next few minutes cleaning my entire bathroom. Tub, shower, toilet, floor.

As I came downstairs with my load of dirty towels, I saw, at the same instant as Josh, Natalie trying to pick up a funny black thing on the floor. It turned out to be a bumblebee that she wanted to play with. Do bumblebees sting? This one was pretty laid back. I shouted for Brynne to pick up Natalie and Josh got something with which to catch the bee and carry it outside. I started my load of dirty, wet towels.

All in all, just a little too much fun on a Saturday Night.

That is just too funny!!!

I remember when you were in Oregon once and we found Hannah eating brown stuff in the family room. At first glance we thought it was poop. Lucky for us it was chocolate.

Dev, I thought that was Brynne?

Kelly, I had to read the post out loud to Brian. That was one crazy half hour!
