Saturday

It's been a long time since we've gone out driving around with NO schedule to keep.  We had some fun stuff planned for Saturday and managed to squeeze it all in.

We started with a drive down the coast and then inland to Camp Liahona-Redwoods.  Josh had some stuff he had to do there, so the kids and I had a picnic before Josh came back and we were able to explore together.  Some of the kids had been there before, some had not.  Now they can ALL say that they've been there.  ;-)  It was a beautiful day and we loved it.

Redwood Orchid.  Gorgeous!

After leaving the camp, we drove by way of Lake Sonoma to the outskirts of Santa Rosa to Redwood Hill Farm.  Our friend Veronica has moved down there to work and attend the J.C. and she let us know about a farm tour that was going on.  The kids got to play with baby goats, milk a mama goat, taste some goat milk products (kefir, cheese), and climb a straw bale hill.    Those babies were so adorable.  Natalie called them "lambies" and refused to touch them.

At the end of the day we hit Costco (got to take advantage of the proximity!!) and had Costco pizza before heading home!!

Going back in time - I got to play with my friend Megan on Thursday night!  Josh had stake meetings and Hannah offered to babysit so that I could drive over with him.  I dropped him off and did the shopping that I had come over to do - which took much less time than I was expecting.  I was sitting in the parking lot nibbling my dinner and decided to call and see if I could bother Megan.  So glad I did!  We had fun talking until Josh's meetings were over.    I don't want to take advantage of Hannah too often - but I'll definitely have to do that again sometime!
