Early in the month Jason came with his high school class. We decided to accompany them on their Skunk train trip, since we'd never gone! It was a blast!

Wearing Jason's hat...but I don't think it's really his style. Could be because it's too small! |

On the train!! |

You can't tell here, but Natalie is dancing! |

Stopping for lunch. |

Josh is WAAAAAAY taller than J. |

Or, wait. Is it the other way around? |

More dancing Noodle-bug |
This little pink dress that Nat is wearing, below, is so funny. We bought it at a yard sale for 10 cents. When we put it on Nat, it became apparent that it was made for a MUCH thicker three year old. The length is right, but Natalie doesn't have near enough pudge to carry it off. So she gets to wear her princess dress to play in, and she's very happy about that!

The foggy weather has started infiltrating our spring. It goes back and forth foggy for a few days, then a few days of sun. Since the sun was out yesterday, we hit the gardens for some hands-on science. We've been learning about insects, and decided to go on an insect hunt. They are hard to photograph! Small and quick. The kids were persistent and managed to get some shots. Our favorites were of the dragonflies in a variety of colors.

Look what we saw!! |

The rhodies are in bloom! |
|
Bear with me, but I have to share these blossoms. |
|
And these bride-like blooms. |
|
These remind me of Hawaii with their vibrancy! |
The roses are blooming (no pictures of those) and they are the old-fashioned ones that smell divine. I seriously think that hybrid roses are doing the world a disservice by taking the unbelievable smell away from the flower. The scent is what really makes the thorns worth dealing with! Wow! Some of the rhododendrons are pretty fragrant, too.
