Our one and only boy is 6 whopping years old today!
He requested a white cake. I made a chocolate sour cream frosting on top (yum!). Thought it turned out pretty well. He still doesn't know what his big surprise from mom and dad is...he's patiently waiting until the day of. And that's his choice!

FINALLY!!
Yes, I think the kids are finally better. Just a few lingering coughs. I'm so glad to have healthy kids again...this virus seemed to hang around forever!
Due to illness our new-baby vacation was drastically extended. I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things again. I actually miss cooking and cleaning (well, I miss having a clean living room without used tissue strewn all over it - Kenna is a menace with the Kleenex box!).
Let's walk down memory lane with Brynne (which I meant to do for her birthday post but ran out of time that day).
2 months old!

With friend Aubrey, age 3

Baptism, last year, age 8

Logan's birthday is this week. We have a cool birthday surprise for him. His Daddy scored tickets to the Boston Red Sox/Oakland A's game next week. AND we were able to take advantage of a cool travel deal I read about that gave them a night at an expensive San Francisco hotel for $1 + tax. That way Josh doesn't have to drive all the way home late at night. Sweet! Logan doesn't know yet!
In honor of Logan, while I'm thinking of it... a few pictures from the past.

BRYNNE
Brynne had a birthday.
Last week.
And we didn't celebrate because SOMEONE in our family was sick. (Brynne) And then about four days later when she started feeling better EVERY ONE ELSE (Logan, Kenna, Natalie) wasn't feeling so hot.
But we finally celebrated last night. Josh and I realized that it had to be then or she'd have to wait until after Logan's birthday, which really didn't seem fair.

Happy Birthday Brynne

What we did: Brynne loves our birthday tradition - so that's what we did...the bookstore and then dinner (she chose Mexican, yum!). She chose the book "Dealing with Dragons" by Patricia Wrede. Daddy and Mommy added an extra couple surprises to that, including #2 in the series. It's a cute book!
When we got home it was time for dessert! Now, Brynne told me very specifically that she wanted ice cream - but not chocolate - and NO CAKE. So I had to be a little creative. I made an ice cream pie with one of her favorite kinds of ice cream, mint chocolate chip.

Happy, Happy Birthday Kenna, dear!
We officially have an un-toddling toddler. Not walking yet (whew!)Just some photos and stuff of our little family party. What a fun little girl. I should add that she did not like the cake, only the frosting. But she doesn't like bread, crackers, etc. anyway. So I give up. If she won't eat cake, I'm definitely not going to win with the graham crackers. :-)
