How is it that my kids can go all year without being invited to a birthday party, and then get three in one month??? And on a month where I really didn't need to buy three birthday presents (not including Logan's)! We skipped the first party - just dropped off a gift and then headed out of town. We went to the second party in Santa Rosa. It was a skating party and the kids had a good time. Josh and I took the opportunity to slip into Costco and spend WAY too much money - but the only excess we purchased was his Mother's Day gift to me....which he proceeded to wrap and give to me when we got home. He said I needed it early. I was intrigued! It was the first season of one of my favorite TV shows "Psych". Now, we don't have TV so you might wonder how I watch this. Simple. Our friends TIVO it for us and Josh can download it from the internet (Dave is a genius - I don't know how this all works). We watch it OR burn it onto a CD, but usually just watch and delete. If you haven't seen this show, you might want to try it. It's like an old style comedy-drama cop show (think Moonlighting) with the funniest main characters. It's on USA and has attracted a pretty decent following in it's first season. I like it better than any other newer show I've been exposed to recently. I love shows that make me laugh, and I've always enjoyed a bit of mystery. Best of all, it's fairly clean! I haven't come across a lot of the junk that most TV shows these days seem to use to hold an audience.
I was SO tired yesterday. I think my months of little sleep were catching up to me. I started snoozing at 7pm on the couch. A little after that Josh sent me to bed. I woke up at 10:30pm and decided to feed Kenna for the night. She wanted to eat at 2:30am, and again at 5:30am, and then we woke up for good at 7am. So not a solid 12 hours of sleep, but all together, a very good rest for me! It felt SO good!!!!
Today is Monday, our ART day. I'm not sure what to have the kids do. Last week for art we did still lifes which we sketch and then watercolored. It was pretty fun, so maybe we'll do that again if the kids are interested. It would be fun to play our favorite ART game, too.
Uncle Nathan is getting married in less than TWO weeks! We are all pretty excited for the upcoming nuptials. Everytime I mention the wedding to Josh (ie: "Nathan's wedding is going to be in two weeks") he always replies "presumably". I think that is so mean!
My baby is growing up. She holds toys, brings them to her mouth, rolls over, and REALLY wants to eat solid food. She also talks, a lot, LOUDLY when she is playing. Funny girl. She gets very mad when we sit at the table to eat and she is off to the side in her swing. She protests until someone takes pity on her and holds her so that she can watch us eat.

I'm glad you got a nice nap in, and a gift, too! Seems that it's going well down there.
I hope Nathan does enjoy his nuptuals, and that Josh stops saying "presumably", and rather says, "ABSOLUTELY"!
Have you tried caligraphy for art? With pens it's not all that bad (with ink and tips it's horribly messy!!).
