Another Week gone by!

Natalie is officially 1 week old today. Happy week-day to her. :-)

She's been such a good little girl. For a first week it hasn't been too bad. I think we only pulled one real all-nighter where she just thought being awake was dandy. As long as I held her, she quietly looked around after every feeding. But other than that, she's been doing quite well. I wake up about twice every night to feed her and she's going right back down again. Nice!

We sent my mom home Saturday. It seemed silly for her to stay all weekend when Josh would be home. I sure appreciated having her around. I think she felt like she didn't do much to help. Which, though I don't think that's true, I consider that a good thing. It means that a) we didn't tax her too much, hopefully; and b) that maybe I've got some good systems going with the kids. :-) We'll see what happens this coming week. That will be the real test! But really, thanks for making the long drive down here Mom! It was fun to have you and you let me take all the naps I wanted. That is HUGELY HELPFUL!!!!

We went to Church today, although I was so tired. Kenna woke up early, early, early and I was not thrilled. Especially because Natalie had just barely gone back to bed after eating and then she slept for three hours. I missed out! Church wasn't too hard this week. Kenna was fairly cheerful. I took her with me when I fed Natalie (in the nursery since we don't have any nursery kids yet) and she loved playing with the toys.

School this week was, of course, pretty much a wash. Vacation time!! Brynne told me she has some study plans for this coming week. And I have quite a few fun math reads so eventually we'll start getting back into the swing of things.

Hannah is planning to audition for her school's Fine Arts Night that's coming up this spring. She's also preparing for her annual piano evaluation that she did so well on last year. This year she hasn't put in the same amount of practice time due to time constraints, but her songs are fun and I'm impressed with the difficulty level. She's aiming for the Gold Star, the highest level, by having 10 pieces memorized for the performance.

That's pretty much it for our family this week. Just a cycle of feedings, diapers, and sleeping!

But our baby is SO CUTE. I think she might be the sweetest thing ever!!
