We had a fun weekend. What we did:
**Of course, we went to the community Easter Egg Hunt. It's a 10 second swarm of locusts descending on a field strewn with colored and chocolate eggs. This was Kenna's first year participating. She got one egg. But she was happy!
This photo of Logan with the Easter Bunny was hilarious. He just stood there and didn't even seem to mind that the fur was hanging in his face. He must have totally zoned out because we called him several times before he responded. He wanted to meet the real easter bunny, and he got to.
**We made Resurrection cookies on Saturday night. We baked 3 loaves of Challah bread and took them to a family and two widows. We did that because we wanted to start a tradition of service on Easter - to show love for others as our Savior showed love for us. Challah is a traditional Jewish celebration bread. Yum!
**We worked in our garden. It is all in now. We planted lots of stuff - some that we have not tried here in Fort Bragg yet. Our garden includes: zucchini, pumpkin, cucumber, three varieties of tomatoes, cilantro, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, mizuna, arugula, red cabbage, green beans, chives, green onions...and I think that's it. Should be yummy!
Logan, Kenna, and Natalie in their Easter clothing. I thought the progression was funny. You can tell, by the end, that Natalie has had ENOUGH! But, of course, the other two finally sit and smile at the same time.
