We hadn't gone to the beach in ages. Josh and I thought it was time.

Vacation Photos!
Natalie is learning how to sit!! You can see she looks less than thrilled. Her cold is making her miserable.
Jenny holding Natalie. Do we look alike? I love her haircut. It's very flattering!

See that hint of smile?

She had fun trying out Jackie's old trike. She REALLY loved trying on Jackie's bracelets.

The fun continues! She couldn't reach the pedals, but she didn't mind!

Logan begged me to take a picture of his funny face. He's a pretty silly guy!

Jenny playing with Natalie on the lawn. She's wearing a new outfit from Grandma R.!!!

My niece, Jackie, looking wistful.

You notice I have no photos of our camping trip. I forgot to take some.

Photo Shoot
One of the pros of having Shannon come visit us was taking advantage of her photography skills. Here are some of the results of that - minus the best ones that I'll post later in all their photo-shopped glory!
We started off at the Mendocino Headlands in "the dating place", but it was too windy and the lighting wasn't that great.

After eating our picnic dinner, we thought we'd cruise around Mendocino and look for some alternate locations. We had the brilliant idea to swing by the inn of some friends and ask if we could use their garden.
The Headlands Inn is their Bed and Breakfast and it is so cute!
Thanks, Mitch and Denise, for letting us use your beautiful garden! The light was much better there, we had a fun time, and the cookies were yummy!
After all of that, we took a walk down to Big River Beach and played.

Shannon shot some more candid photos of the kids and we enjoyed the evening sun.

A great finish to a beautiful day!

Cute Baby and Sunshine
This has been a fun week! The weather has been gorgeous, so we've had to take advantage of it and spend lots of time outdoors. We walk in the mornings, play in the afternoons, and do school in between. This is Hannah's last week of school. After we get her photos developed (I sent her to school with a couple disposable cameras) I'll let her post pictures of her friends and whatnot.
I love this photo of Josh and Natalie. It's their pre-bedtime nap!
Isn't Kenna cute in her pretty red swimsuit? She's never worn one before! Never needed to. :-) She was a little apprehensive about the water and didn't want to go in it at ALL. The other kids had a blast!

Natty playing with her toys. She can roll over now! Did it for the first time this week from her tummy to her back!
Natalie and her tongue that can't seem to stay inside her mouth!
Our summer school supplies came this week also. We are studying Shakespeare and Astronomy. Everything that I ordered looks so fun! We can't wait to delve into it!

Science Day...and a few other things
I just loved this picture.

Logan went to the A's game in Oakland with Josh. It was his birthday present. He had a GREAT time. He came home with a Red Sox cap from the wholesaler who gave Josh the tickets. Hopefully I'll be able to post some photos soon.
Kenna with Logan's new baseball cap. Too cute.

Our new double stroller...love it!
Building volcanoes for science!

Easter Weekend
We had a fun weekend. What we did:
**Of course, we went to the community Easter Egg Hunt.
It's a 10 second swarm of locusts descending on a field strewn with colored and chocolate eggs.
This was Kenna's first year participating. She got one egg. But she was happy!
This photo of Logan with the Easter Bunny was hilarious. He just stood there and didn't even seem to mind that the fur was hanging in his face. He must have totally zoned out because we called him several times before he responded. He wanted to meet the real easter bunny, and he got to.

**We made Resurrection cookies on Saturday night. We baked 3 loaves of Challah bread and took them to a family and two widows. We did that because we wanted to start a tradition of service on Easter - to show love for others as our Savior showed love for us. Challah is a traditional Jewish celebration bread. Yum!
**We worked in our garden. It is all in now. We planted lots of stuff - some that we have not tried here in Fort Bragg yet. Our garden includes: zucchini, pumpkin, cucumber, three varieties of tomatoes, cilantro, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, mizuna, arugula, red cabbage, green beans, chives, green onions...and I think that's it. Should be yummy!
Logan, Kenna, and Natalie in their Easter clothing. I thought the progression was funny.
You can tell, by the end, that Natalie has had ENOUGH! But, of course, the other two finally sit and smile at the same time.
