Every Mom is entitled to be proud of her kids...and share it, right?
Last night as a (ahem) disciplinary measure, Brynne and Logan were the kitchen cleaners. Normally this is Hannah's job, but she was off the hook. I expected tears, arguing, and a shoddily done job. I was pleasantly surprised. The only tears were when Logan accidentally whacked his elbow on something. There were no fights. I had to leave mid-way through the process for RS bookclub. When I came home the table and counters were wiped; the dishes were washed, dried, and put away. Indeed, a spotless job! By my two amateurs! I was impressed.
This morning Hannah started on her regular job of emptying the dishwasher. I headed up to take a shower. When I returned she had finished the dishwasher, cleaned up the breakfast dishes, and was on her hands and knees with a rag wiping up the kitchen floor. Wow!
This caused me some consternation because, you see, mopping the kitchen was supposed to be Brynne's job today. And now I have to think of another job! And Brynne and Hannah both asked me, "is there anything else you need me to do?" this morning. And darn it! I missed my chance, because I couldn't think of anything! So I told them to go play for a bit. What are they doing? Playing Book of Mormon Jeopardy with Logan and having a grand time!
If you've seen the movie "The Incredibles", you'll remember towards the end when the character Dash collapses onto his limo seat and sighs, "I love my family".
My thoughts, exactly!

What did you put in their food?! I want some!
WOW! That is "INCREDIBLE"! Good job, Mom!
I was totally thinking along the same lines of Jenny. My comment was going to be, "What are you feeding them and can I have the recipe?" I guess sisters really think alike.
Such a cute family. I'll borrow your kids any time!
