Happy ~2010~

We have had such a fun holiday this year that's been filled with guests, gifts, and family time. Couldn't ask for anything more!

This morning we're saying good-bye to our last round of visitors. Nathan, Jelaire, and Sarah all have to fly back to chilly Utah tomorrow. I'm sorry we didn't have more sunshine while they were here. We just barely squeezed in some beach time between rainstorms. BUT...since we need the rain...and they did come in the winter...
You guys will just have to come back some other time.

Photos of our beach excursion. Some of these were posted on Facebook, too.

Logan was wet, wearing almost no clothing, and it was only 50 degrees. But he insisted that he wasn't cold. CRAZY!

Kenna had a SUPER time. She chased after everyone and explored everything. Run, run, run!

Natalie wouldn't stop eating sand, so we finally picked her up. When is she going to realize that there are more delectable dishes in the world?

Natalie thought Avery was pretty interesting. I'm guessing the feeling is mutual.

So now that we've started a new year, it's time to do that whole resolution thing, right? I don't usually get too worked up about my resolutions. Make a couple goals. Usually I'm still working on them by the end of the year. Not a whole lot of accomplishing going on.

This year we have some minor changes. The first thing is that we have a babysitter in our family. And that's going to allow me a little freedom. The second thing is that we're heading out of this multi-year young baby stage, which is going to increase my freedom as time goes on.

Things I accomplished in 2009
*Fed my family more vegetables
*Read lots of books - and recorded them all for the 2nd straight year. I'm loving this new habit!

I love your goals!
#1) Although I'll miss your frequent communication on the computer, scripture reading is obviously a worthy goal. I've been impressed several times lately as the idea has come up that our children need to see us reading our scriptures. If we get up before them, or wait 'til their in bed, how will see our example? In those times that they're being noisy and you're having trouble getting any learning out of it, consider that you're doing it for THEM and not as much for YOU on those days.

#2)Josh is going with you? That's awesome! I wish I could talk Brian into coming with me. Maybe I just need to try. Are you both doing the pear blossom 5K?

#3) Food is totally overrated. Are you going to try Jenny's couponing?
