Gifts

After my little no-gifts spiel, I thought I would just say what we did get for Christmas this year.

Within our family we decided not to spend money (except for us buying a couple things for the kids). So. Josh "won" a cookbook which he gave to me. One that I've been wanting! I made Josh a secret gift which cannot be revealed since he hasn't gotten it yet! Due to illness and unexpected guests I had to change my plans a bit. Hannah made Logan a cool scratch-art gift. Logan made Kenna a race track for toy cars. I can't recall some of the other hand-made gifts but it was great watching the kids enjoy giving.

We bought Hannah, Brynne, and Logan a joint gift of a basketball hoop for our front yard. They've all asked for one at various times this fall. They have new basketballs to go with them. Logan's second gift from us was a velcro catch mitt and ball. He loves it. Hannah and Brynne each got an awesome art set that they've had out non-stop since we got home from Ukiah. Our friend Kari gave them a book on how to draw so it's been a great combination.
Kenna got a magna-doodle and a ball. Natalie got a stacking toy and her own ball.

It's not really a lot, is it? But they love it. Santa brought books and movies (I got a super good deal on the three American Girl movies) and a couple other odds and ends. Altogether, a simple, yet delightful Christmas!

It's been fun hearing about everyone else's Christmas as I peruse the family blogs.
