Rolling Right Along

NATALIE can stand!
And she gets up and down. And occasionally, even moves a little tiny foot forward.
But that's rare.
She's sleeping all night now...as long as she's in her playpen in the playroom.
I don't know what it is, but if I put her in her crib in the same room as Hannah and Brynne she won't sleep.
Are they poking her in their sleep?
I've even moved the special blanket that she likes to sleep on from one bed to the other and it has no effect. She'll nap in her crib just fine, but no night-time sleep!
STRANGE CHILD!

Playdough is so fun. Even when you are no longer two, right?

Hannah helped Logan dress up like a Native American. He decided he wanted to be from the Sioux tribe since "they sleep in teepees".
Then Hannah decided to spend some time online looking up the Sioux. She learned a lot and wrote a little paper on it.
Hannah has spent a lot of time practicing the piano this week.
She has also babysat for me quite a bit as I have had multiple errands to run. More than usual, I would say. Even better, she cleans when she babysits (USUALLY, but not ALWAYS!).

Brynne has been that child that seems to be just sliding through life right now. Nothing bad going on. No difficulties. I do feel like I hardly see her...we rush through the afternoon and evenings so quickly these days. But she's always there, always dependable. One of the great things about Brynne is that she puts herself to bed on time. Somewhere between 8 and 8:30 each night she will come to me from the other room, kiss me goodnight, and head to bed. That's usually my cue to look at the clock and remind Hannah that she can read in bed until 9. Brynne has always recognized and followed her body's prompting to go to sleep!

It's been a wet week! Josh and I are still doing our early-morning exercising. We haven't been as consistent as we would like. But here are our very fine excuses:
#1 We've had multiple nights with a kid keeping us up from 3-ish to 5-ish. And when you finally climb into bed at 5:15, just to hear your alarm go off at 5:30, there's no way you're getting up again. Although one morning I actually went for my walk at 4am and THEN went back to bed!
#2 It's been raining! And heaven knows we need the rain. I don't mind jogging in a little sprinkle, but most of our rain has been pretty substantial.
In general, we're getting out 2-3 times a week in between storms and children's tears.
