Saturday was the big day!
Hannah's team competed at the State Competition for Odyssey of the Mind. The event was held at Brentwood High School, which is the size of a Junior College (and was PACKED, by the way). The weather was gorgeous, the kids behaved, and their project went well.
Each team competes in a long-term project and a spontaneous problem. I got a phone call from Hannah's coach with the team results on Sunday. Out of 15 schools in their age division for The Return to the Gift of Flight problem, Fort Bragg scored third overall. They scored first in the spontaneous problem, and only missed second place by 20 points. First and Second place go on to "World" which is at Michigan State University this year. I think all the parents AND the coach were relieved that we are not making that journey, but we are very, very proud of the hard work put in by this Odyssey Team and the fabulous job they did!
Way to go, Hannah!
