Hmmmm. I didn't take a lot of pictures on our camping trip because the battery of my camera died. I forgot to charge it before we left. I have plenty to say, but need to keep it brief because typing is hard going. Why? Only because I cut the index finger on my right hand with a sharp knife trying to cook our first night's dinner and it's awfully tender. Josh and the kids had to take me to the ER in Garberville (an 8-bed hospital, by the way!). My Dr. was a great guy. Over the course of conversation he asked what church I belonged to, and then chuckling asked if my Bishop was going to come running in here. I said maybe, since it is my husband. That really made him laugh. I have never had such a short ER visit. I was the only patient so I got seen immediately! Good thing, since we had a slew of hungry, grumpy kids.
Kenna, Nat, and Logan were sick and couldn't sleep at night. Our two nights there were pretty much h-e-double toothpick-ish non-sleeping disasters so we came home a day earlier than planned. Everyone's starting to feel better and my finger isn't throbbing anymore. Nat still woke up last night, but it was so much nicer than dealing with her in the campground. I went to bed at 7:30 pm and slept till 7am - which is a rare late morning for me!
On the plus side, today we stayed in semi-vacation mode and have had a great day. Josh and the kids are at the theater watching "The Last Airbender" right now. The kids earned the movie treat two months ago and have been holding out for this one.
Jenny's coming tomorrow. I think we'll be over our illnesses and ready to play!

A couple of years back we had a week of camping that I started calling the week of miracles 'cause one thing bad happened after the next. So we started looking for those little miracles & they would pop up here & there. But I remember camping was a lot more fun when I was a kid, once you are a mom it's just so much work!!!
