What in the world have you been doing?

Can you tell I haven't been typing much? I don't usually let this much time pass between blog updates. Also, things have been busy!

So first things first:

A word about the photos. The girls were back from their riding lesson (thus, the boots and jeans) and thought they'd try a cowgirl/rocker look. :-)

Jenny and the kids came to visit. We had a great week. I hardly saw Logan and John. They were outside pretty much all day. We played at the beach, Hendy Woods, and the Botanical Garden while they were here. The fog came in the day they arrived, and stayed until after they'd left. :-) Typical.

My finger's healing well. Took the stitches out myself a week after they went in. It still looks rather gross, but no infection. I tried playing the piano today and it hurt. Writing is still also tricky, but I can type now, so that's a definite improvement.
Josh and Hannah and I (and a fellow piano student of Hannah's) were able to go to San Francisco last night for a concert at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. It was part of the Midsummer Mozart series. One of the featured soloists, on the piano, was a 15 year old girl. She was very impressive. She also joined the orchestra as a violinist for one the pieces. Talented! It was lovely music and we all quite enjoyed it.
On the way home from the bay area today I bought Kenna a little potty and some underwear. Kenna's been singing a song about underwear and potty chairs every since then. I'm not quite ready to toilet train her. Or rather, I think that she could do it if she wanted to, but I'm not sure she's all that interested. I miss shopping at Target. I found pants for Logan - I've searched at least four other stores in our other travels! I can always find what I want at Target.

I bought fabric for the girls' sewing projects. They are making a pair of PJs. Hannah and I started with hers. She is about 75% done. We'll have pictures of the finished products when we get there. It was a great review for me! I haven't followed a pattern in a long time.

Hey, do you have a suggestion for a good starter sewing machine for my little miss fashion designer at the ripe age of 8? (it's great for the update! Glad you are having fun!)
