October's just whirling by

My last few posts have not been about our family.  We've been so busy I haven't had time to sit and really write up what we've all been up to.

Josh was released as Bishop this past Sunday.  We had the stake presidency members (and wives) who came over for lunch afterward, along with Josh's parents.  It was nice.  We love these people!  Our new Bishop is a great guy and I think Josh is happy to have someone else to pass some problems to.  ;-)  Josh has been busy supervising the beginning of the remodel of his future office.  He's officially changing locations and we're excited for the carpentering to be done so that we can move in.

(Nat trying on someone's swim goggles)

I went to a stake Relief Society campout for three days last weekend.  Josh had the kids (Hannah did a lot of babysitting for him) and they had almost as much fun as I did.  I loved every minute and was able to reconnect with friends I rarely get an opportunity to see.

Hannah and Brynne are taking a weaving class through 4H.  We have a local non-profit group dedicated to teaching and preserving textile arts.  They've got a great little library/display.  The girls are having a great time.  Both girls are doing well in school (so says their teacher!) and really blossoming into lovely young ladies.  I just love having them around.

Logan's got some new friends.  Two little girls moved into our ward and he gets along fabulously with them!  You'd think he would be all "girled" out, but he has a great time when they come over to play.  So cute!  He's been helping me with a babysitting job I'm doing for a friend.  We're watching a three year old high-functioning autistic boy twice a week.  The kid adores Logan, and while Logan sometimes gets tired of the attention, he's very patient and I couldn't do it without him.

Kenna has been chatting up a storm and is in that phase (that I love so much) where we hear the most adult phrases coming out of her little body.  She's very entertaining.

Natalie is just starting to talk and interact.  She does everything Kenna does - and she knows exactly how to make Kenna mad.  It's pretty funny to watch their interactions.  Natalie will slap at Kenna and Kenna just screams and screams.  It doesn't occur to her to stand up and run away or fight back.  But they don't always fight.  Kenna's starting to do real pretend play with dolls and Natalie watches and mimics her every move.

So that's the family run-down.  This month is just flying by.  We've been working on so many projects that I haven't even mentioned.  School-time takes up a good portion of our day and then there are always activities in the afternoon.  We try to swim at the pool twice a week for PE.  We haven't gone recently because of various illnesses and other things getting in the way.

We're also thinking of moving to a new house in town.  We're on the hunt for something on a better street.  We've gotten some new neighbors over the past year - and combined with the ones we already had - we're ready to live somewhere else.   We're also going to downsize and save money towards some other stuff we want to do.

Kenna and Natalie's new favorite past-time:

Bum Splashing.

I love the bum splashing - too cute! And, while you're moving, you should just move over the hill... I wouldn't mind one bit!
