First, a blog post by author Shannon Hale of her top 2010 picks... BLOG. For those of you who aren't familiar with her books...you should be. I recommend Princess Academy, a stand-alone, as my most favorite of her books, but I have thoroughly enjoyed her 4-book Books of Bayern series.
Stuff I've read (ever - not just this year) and enjoyed include:
*Mrs. Mike
*A Long Way From Chicago
*every book by Ralph Moody (some more than others - but they're all worth reading! I could give you a list...)
*The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate
*Peace Like a River
*Alas, Babylon
*The Lonesome Gods
*Chronicles of Narnia
*The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle
*The Invention of Hugo Cabret
*The Graveyard Book
Most people who read this blog are also connected with me on Goodreads, so there's not really anything new. BUT if you haven't read these books you might like to try them out!
If you want more ideas, you can look at the idea lists I'm going to use for 2011 HERE and HERE. Happy Reading!
The pictures are....just because I love my girls.
They have been so incredibly cute lately.
They walk around holding hands.
Take care of their babies together.
Give each other hugs.
And then knock each other over.
***Edited to add:
I did not include any of my long-time favorites that I hope everyone has read which include the entire Anne series, the Betsy-Tacy series, etc. I was trying to suggest books that are less well-known. But now I've thought of some more....
Understood Betsy
Laddie (and a few other books by Gene Stratton Porter)
A Wrinkle in Time
Little Women
Jane Austen's works
A guess a list has to stop somewhere. But like I said...check out my goodreads list. ;-)

What beautiful little girls! And beautiful pictures! Thanks for the list of books! Happy Reading! I LOVE Lucy Maud Montgomery books. My favorite since I was a teenager is "The Blue Castle"...I read it every spring, I just can't help it.
I just finished my latest book today and have been wondering what to read next. I'll have to go through your list to pick out my next one! Thanks for the help!!
Every time I finish a book, I add about 20 more to my Goodreads list. I may never finish!
Kenna and Natalie are looking adorable! Ben and I are hoping to make a visit sometime this summer. Hope you don't mind ;)
