Many of this blog's readers know this news already, but for the sake of the family journal...here it is again!
On March 26 the four Fort Bragg teams traveled to CA State Odyssey of the Mind Tournament.
The results were eagerly anticipated. http://www.calomer.org/joomla/
Brynne's team scored 9th overall (in a field of over 20 other teams) and actually got 2nd (!!!) in the spontaneous portion of the competition. They apparently had some minor set issues but were able to pull off the performance.
Hannah's team procurred 1st place and is headed to the World competition in Maryland over Memorial Day weekend.
Pretty exciting weekend! Josh is going to head the fund-raising effort that needs to get underway immediately. We are also going to apply for a travel grant from the odyssey organization...but they want to know what fund-raising you're doing and what you expect to earn so we've got to get right on that...and we have only two weeks to turn in the grant application. Yikes!
I think it was really hard for Brynne to have Hannah do so well, and especially be headed somewhere cool (and in addition Hannah's going to Spain this summer), but she's been a great champ about that and is bearing her disappointment well. We're hoping to come up with a special little trip of her own for Brynne, but are still hammering out the details (shhh...don't tell her yet). A couple things are in the works with that - we'll see which one pans out.

We traveled to Ukiah yesterday so that Josh could conduct a fireside. It was kind of a strange fireside...done via webcast to the other wards so we were in a virtually empty room talking to a camera. The missionaries who are serving at the Church Camp here (Camp Liahona-Redwoods) gave a presentation on the camp. Pretty awesome. It's available to rent!!! They're putting in a ropes course this spring so it will be even more awesome this summer!
Apparently they've had 60 inches of rain this season. Can you believe it?
While we were in Ukiah we found out that Josh's brother, Jason, was called into the Bishopric of his Idaho ward on Sunday. To that Josh had nothing to say except "bwa, ha, ha, hah"!! We have every confidence that he will do a wonderful job in his new role.

We made final plans for Logan's baptism and are holding it on his birthday - April 8th. He handed out invitations fliers at church on Sunday. We have a couple investigators getting baptized this month, too, so should be a great month!

Congrats Hannah and Brynne! Well done! I hadn't heard Jason was put in the bishopric. That is crazy, but he will do great! I love reading your posts!
