It's been really hard on me to not have internet...just cuz I was anxious to update my notes before I forgot anything. Day 4 was Sunday. We had planned on doing the Alhambra on saturday, but because of tickets we had to do it on Sunday. It...was...AWESOME! What an incredible amount of skill and attention to detail. I put a couple pictures on facebook, but nothing can really convey how amazing that building is.
We left Granada around 2pm and drove to Marbella to meet up with the other Jones people, who were just arriving to the country. It felt good not to be jet-lagged anymore. Marbella is on the Costa del Sol (sun coast). It is full of resorts, ritz, and rich people. Apparently Madonna lives here, but I haven't run into her yet. First item of surprise...while there are "au natural" beaches in Spain, apparently that practice isn't limited to certain marked-off areas. The pool is safer. ;-) I got to sit by some large women on the beach who slipped off their suit tops. Poor Josh...not even cute girls! We beat a hasty retreat...
We spent day 5 just relaxing. Jones meetings in the morning, then tracked down a laundromat (there are almost none in Spain -the poor Maritz girls who work here on the trips were showering in their clothes to wash them. They were thrilled to hear about a laundromat).
Then pool time for the afternoon and dinner at a cafe on the boardwalk.
