Autumn in Oregon

Last week I took a trip to visit family.  I was brave and only took the three youngest kids - multiple reasons for that - but it turned out okay!  The kids did fantastic in the car.  I didn't once have to hand out the dum-dums I keep in the car to keep kids from going crazy on long trips.  ;-)  The kids had a fantastic time with their cousins.  All the cousins on my side of the family are Logan's age or younger, so everyone had a friend to enjoy.  I loved meeting my newest nephew, too!  What a cute boy.

So without further ado - the week in Pictures!

First thing we saw when we arrived at the pumpkin patch?

Only the biggest turkey, EVER!

Hey Dad!  This was actually a practice shot - but here's proof that we saw him on our trip!

Instead of a sandbox, a wheat box.  What a fun idea!

The girls loved the little maze.

Uncle Bryan took Nat and "sunshine" down the big slide!

Enjoying the go-cart track.  This is serious business!

Hay ride!

Hay Ride again!

Which pumpkin do you want to take home, Nat?

Logan loved this slide.  He surfed down it so fast - all my pictures are blurry!

Making the bike loop around Grandpa and Grandma's back yard.

It was warm enough to play in the water!

Dev and baby James

Shannon!  No baby bump yet!

Heather and Mom looking fantastic!

Cousin picnic at the park!

I love these two nieces.  They are so cute to watch!

The day we got home, Logan got roped into playing King for the girls.  He does a good job looking princely!

Dress up fun!

Three days after we got home, Jenny and her family wound their way (literally, since it's such a twisty drive) to our home for conference weekend.  Good times!  They were patient through our soccer morning!  We all enjoyed a walk on the Haul Road to enjoy the ocean views.  The best part for some of the kids seemed to be the dead, decaying seal we found on the shore.  Seriously.  At least one kid thought it was totally awesome!  Really it was just smelly and gross.  Thanks for making the drive down, though!  We love having visitors!

Now we are back to the normal daily grind.  The weather has FINALLY cleared up.  I assume that means it is no longer 100 degrees over the hill.   Lucky for us!
