Simply put, it is a file folder with a few funny folds.
But it is so much more than that!!
It is a super- learning enhancer which becomes an incredibly creative tool for parents and teachers. It integrates reading and writing, math and science,
literature and critical thinking.
It's a very fun way to present information that you've studied.
And we've got lapbooking fever!

It's a very fun way to present information that you've studied.
And we've got lapbooking fever!
Our first lapbook was an experimental one that we did about the book: "The Wind in the Willows". We loved this book! The version we have is from my mom. It has some fantastic artwork in it that make it a joy to sit and look through.
Our next lapbooks were individual. Hannah did one on rocks, which she researched. Brynne is working on one about a book she read entitled "Marisol". They both have plans for more! We've got books on hold at the library that should be arriving next week. Hannah wants to learn about Dolphins, Brynne is going to read the first six Felicity books (American Girl) and do that. Logan chose Pirates! We're using Templates from THIS website to help us get started and get those creative juices flowing. I like that we can incorporate all areas of learning in one lapbook! It's fun!
